It seems some of my friends (?) question my patriotism and support of law enforcement because I number 1, question the arming of small municipal police departments with military armor and weapons and 2, the increase of warrant less searches and no knock raids.

As far as my patriotism goes, I served my 22 years and honor my oath to this day. I would ask these friends to consider and answer this.

On 9/11 2001, we were attacked by 19 hijackers who flew planes into the WTC, Pentagon and were stopped by the passengers from striking their target with a fourth plane. This attack caused us to respond with a never ending war on terror during which we have sent troops and/or bombed Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya and now Syria. We have intervened and aided the executions of Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gadaffi and have our sights in hastening the ousting of Assad in Syria. That’s over a decade of bombing, drones, missiles and troops around the world in response to the attacks on 9/11. Question:

Do you not think that others, angered by our attacks are not joining networks or forming new groups that seek retribution in response to our attacks on their land or revenge for the thousands of dead civilians tragically killed in these raids??? Honestly???

Remember that crazy old coot that y’all made fun of as he talked of bubbles, treating drug abuse as an illness instead of prosecuting a war on our citizens and leading the world in numbers per capita that are incarcerated and, what was that other thing he warned us of………oh yeah, I remember.

#Blowback

Well, here we go again. Our Peace President is ready to bomb Syria in submission. They have crossed a red line that he told them not to, but recanted and said that the world drew the red line. So he wants to send a couple hundred Tomahawk TLAMs in there at $1.5 million each to do just what? We don’t know. Even as he makes his case to congress, he does not know. To punish Assad for using chemical weapons on his people, I guess. He must be punished, or is it a shot across the bow?

Think back to Libya. The unconstitutional intervention at that time was to take out their Air Force, artillery and provide air support for the civilian rebels that were getting slaughtered. It was definitely not for regime change. But then we bombed every palace, house, tent and tree that we thought Ghaddafi was possibly hiding in. We all remember the gripping scene as they dragged him from that culvert, beating and kicking him before blowing his head off. Humanitarian missions don’t all end good you know.

Well, lets get back to the red line. Two days before this chemical attack, UN Weapons Inspectors arrived in Syria. They were there to investigate a previous chemical attack in March. The Russians and the UN say that the evidence points to the rebels being behind that attack.
Hold the phone! I thought John Kerry said that there were no questions. This is certainly enough for me to hold off a missile attack on a sovereign nation. Russia has provided the United States with other intelligence that points to the rebels. In the spirit of the reset, we have discarded that intelligence at the same time, refusing to share any of our intelligence with the Russian government. That’s right, as the Russians and Chinese send warships of their own to the area, we refuse to share intelligence that could erase the red line.

Another thing you keep hearing is that the Peace President did not need to go to congress and that he still does not need their approval. Well, he’s right they don’t have to approve; but they Do have to vote and grant that authority! That is the constitution.

Article I
8.11 To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water;

Article II
2.1 The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States; he may require the opinion, in writing, of the principal officer in each of the executive departments, upon any subject relating to the duties of their respective offices, and he shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.

The framers were all to aware of the bad things that happen when one man is granted sole power to take a nation to war. There was never any intent to grant that power. Congress declares a war and then the Commander in Chief assumes command for executing that war. Very simple.

George Washington said, “The constitution vests the power of declaring war in Congress; therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they shall have deliberated upon the subject and authorized such a measure.” (1793.)

James Madison had this to add, “The power to declare war, including the power of judging the causes of war, is fully and exclusively vested in the legislature . . . the executive has no right, in any case, to decide the question, whether there is or is not cause for declaring war.” (1793.)

They were extremely clear as it was discussed in the ratification debates and Madison attempted to relax the people in his writing of the Federalist Papers.

There is nothing in the Syria conflict that effects any part of our national security or our national interests. We have not been attacked or even threatened. This comes down to a manhood contest between Assad and our Narcissist in Chief. He can not be questioned or be seen to be weak or wrong. It is a terrible thing to use chemical weapons on people just as it is to lop off their heads with machetes. But I digress.

Our Peace President keeps telling us of the atrocities of dead civilians, women and children killed and laying under their burial shrouds. They weren’t combatants, they weren’t fighting. They were killed and the Assad regime needs to be held responsible.

Allow me to close with this question. Who will hold our Peace President responsible for the women, children and non-combatants killed by the multitudes of drone strikes he has ordered in countries we are not at war with, nor have we declared hostilities against like Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia?

20130907-122008.jpg

Are those women and children any less dead? Their fathers, mothers, siblings any less sad or enraged? Is the killing of civilians in a sovereign nation not against these world norms?

Any military action in Syria will be a blatant act of aggression by our country upon a sovereign nation embroiled in its own civil war. The ordering of such will qualify as High Crimes and misdemeanors and our Peace President should be impeached.

If the administration had come to an early conclusion to get ahead of speculation; that is one thing.

They did not. They ignored reports of the hired Libyan security team by al Qaeda, the requests to not reduce their security force, the prior attacks and purposefully set out on a media blitz to blame this on a video that nobody saw.

They told forces both in Benghazi and Tripoli to stand down. They botched their back door attempts to supply arms from Libya, to Syria through Turkey and again intervene in a nations civil war.

They left these men to die. They left a Navy Seal on a rooftop with a laser designator; lighting up a target while they withheld strike assets.

Obama and Clinton made decisions that condemned these men to their deaths and they continue to lie to the American people and the people buy it; ready to cast their ballots for a man who so casually sacrifices who are upholding their Oath.

So he lied about the attack on our embassy. SO WHAT!
The problem is that he violated his oath and presidential power by committing our forces there in the first place and he should have been impeached.
But he won’t; do you know why? Because the [R]epublican party wants to preserve that power for themselves in the future.
The House, Senate and citizens of this country are ok with a king deciding on military actions unilaterally. So deal with it. Deal with the TSA, NDAA, CISPA, Patriot Act, FISA, deficit spending, govt. takeover of industry and bailouts. Accept the first graduating class of the new DHS Security Force.
Accept the 30,000 drones that will soon be overhead streaming warrant less surveillance data and don’t complain when they want to implant a RFID chip in your hand because it will be the currency, medical data, voting info……..don’t complain one bit!

Because you have acquiesced and not risen up. The constitution is dead and we have an illegitimate government. For if the constitution is not followed and we drone Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia, or whatever sovereign nation we feel it is in our best interest, then stand by for complete ignorance of the rule of law.

Obama could not wait to enter another conflict and exercise his power; a narcissists dream come true. There were two votes on whether or not to authorize the President to use force and interject our troops into Libya’s civil war. BOTH FAILED, he had been denied authority by congress.

What does a narcissist do in this situation? He knows in his head that he is right and those around him can not understand the wisdom he possesses. So he hopped on a plane to Brazil where he made a statement to the American people. He stated that he authorized the bombing of Libya as a humanitarian mission to protect the citizens that Ghaddafi was killing.

You see, in a civil war you have two sides. One side is usually the government which is in most cases an oppressive central power and the other side is usually comprised of civilians who are rebelling against that government. Wait a second! Doesn’t that almost sound like a guy named Lincoln and his war of aggression against the south? But I digress…..

He then sent in our planes and drones and supplied arms to the rebels. This action was a direct and intentional violation of his oath of office. He had sought congressional approval, twice, and been denied. This is not a gray area like arguing whether or not congress was in session because one guy came in once a day. This was a well thought out abuse of his power.

A strong argument can also be made as to the desired outcome of this action. While dear leader claimed this was to protect innocent civilians, Ghaddafi’s known residences were regularly bombed as were locations where he was suspected to be present. These strikes were obviously ordered for the purpose of assassinating the leader of a sovereign nation and effecting regime change.

Where are the Articles of Impeachment?

They are not to be found. Those who tell us that this is the most important election of our lives and that our country will not survive another 4 years of Obama have done nothing. They have a clear case for impeachment and they do nothing.

Article II Section 2.2 says:
He shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law: but the Congress may by law vest the appointment of such inferior officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the courts of law, or in the heads of departments.

Dear leader also failed to adhere to the Constitution when he appointed J. Christopher Stevens to his fateful Ambassador post in Benghazi, Libya. He is now dead along with three other brave American citizens. Maybe the narcissist in chief would have been advised differently. Maybe the founders chose to establish coequal branches of government so that one arrogant man could not make foolish decisions without some advice from others.

The murder of these four men are sadly a consequence of the unconstitutional actions of Barak Obama. He unilaterally intervened in Libya’s civil war. He appointed the Ambassador and Hillary Clinton was derelict in her duty as Secretary of State by allowing them to take that post without security. In fact, testimony this week tells the story of requests for more security being flatly denied.

So remember the President glibly joking with Letterman and blaming the attack in Benghazi on a YouTube video, remember Clinton’s speech as the murdered bodies were just taken past her that this kind of response to a despicable YouTube video was unacceptable.

They both knew at that time that there were not protests at Benghazi, they knew that they were unprotected and they knew that the country was not stable. The blood of these men is on their hands and there is no argument or excuse that can change that.

So, as we approach the election and both sides clamor for our involvement in another country’s civil war in Syria, remember the murder of these four men. Remember how a violation of an oath and a dereliction of duty by our elected representatives not stopping that violation led to the murder of four men who did not have to die.

Remember Article II Section 4

The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

For if this is the most important election of our lives, if our country will not survive than why is nothing being done now. Why are murders, cover ups and unauthorized military actions not being dealt with swiftly?
