It seems some of my friends (?) question my patriotism and support of law enforcement because I number 1, question the arming of small municipal police departments with military armor and weapons and 2, the increase of warrant less searches and no knock raids.

As far as my patriotism goes, I served my 22 years and honor my oath to this day. I would ask these friends to consider and answer this.

On 9/11 2001, we were attacked by 19 hijackers who flew planes into the WTC, Pentagon and were stopped by the passengers from striking their target with a fourth plane. This attack caused us to respond with a never ending war on terror during which we have sent troops and/or bombed Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya and now Syria. We have intervened and aided the executions of Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gadaffi and have our sights in hastening the ousting of Assad in Syria. That’s over a decade of bombing, drones, missiles and troops around the world in response to the attacks on 9/11. Question:

Do you not think that others, angered by our attacks are not joining networks or forming new groups that seek retribution in response to our attacks on their land or revenge for the thousands of dead civilians tragically killed in these raids??? Honestly???

Remember that crazy old coot that y’all made fun of as he talked of bubbles, treating drug abuse as an illness instead of prosecuting a war on our citizens and leading the world in numbers per capita that are incarcerated and, what was that other thing he warned us of………oh yeah, I remember.

This D Day Anniversary I thought about an old veteran I met in Staten Island. I walked into a bar below the apartment I lived in wearing my dress blues, having just returned from the funeral of a shipmate.
An older man I had never met asked, “Hey Chief, can I buy you a beer?” Thank you, I replied.

He stood up and crying, gave me a hug. “You look great Chief and do the uniform proud. Thank you for your your service and I want to say that you make an old sailor awful proud.

He turned and left before I could say anything. I asked who he was and was directed to a yellowed newspaper article hanging in a frame on the wall.

The man who had just left was a WWII veteran whose ship had been sunk by torpedoes and he was the sole survivor. In that article he talked to the reporter about guilt over being the only guy who made it and of being haunted by the screams of his shipmates from their injuries and helplessly watching as they struggled to stay afloat.

I never saw the man again to express my thanks and to try and ease his burden. I think I did that day though. Those of you who have never has a shipmate might find that odd, but there is a comradeship, a bond that is shared by those who have served and suffered with the loss of their shipmates.

I am fortunate to have been a part of that brotherhood and some of my old shipmates will read this, knowing that I am always here for them. I’m also unfortunate to feel the guilt of having survived the loss of many shipmates.

This D Day, take a moment and think about the brave men who served that day, who gave their lives selflessly and gave everything that they could give. If you are fortunate enough to meet a WWII Veteran, take a moment to tell him that you are proud of him and thank him.

It’s A Sad Day

Posted: May 19, 2014 in Uncategorized

I would laugh at everyone; I’ve only got twenty years of life probably, all working. The ACA will transition to a single payer system; that’s how it’s designed. All y’all will feel the veterans pain and it’s non-partisan.

But, I’m a compassionate man and I am truly sorrowful. Sorrowful for myself because I never had the opportunity to live in the republic that was once the Land of the Free, or the Land of the Free that was once a republic.

And I’m sorrowful for a society that voted for this, that fights for the right to perform infanticide, shrugs off the claims that the central owns the majority of State lands and doesn’t have a problem with the NDAA, TSA, Patriot Act or the NSA gathering all of your communications data.

Yes, I am ashamed, sick and yes, sorrowful.

Not trustworthy? Not truthful? Poll numbers slipping?
No sh/% and so what. Ryan’s budget only reduces the rate of spending increases? Again……???
Ten year plan? Ha!!! You think the next ten congresses can’t spend because of what Ryan passes this year? You must be a blast at parties!

Stop looking to the central government to fix the central government. Then where do you look?

It goes like this. You must start with your Mayors, Aldermen, Sheriffs and school board. Small as possible. That’s the easiest way to start. Organize your friends, your neighbors, your social clubs. Easy.

Then get your state representatives elected that are not afraid to stand up for you, the sovereign citizens of your state. Then a governor who believes that his charge is to protect your rights, that the states created the central government and gave it specific and limited authority to perform certain duties and that when they do more than that, when they overstep their authority, when they pass unconstitutional legislation it is their duty to say NO!

It is the Governors DUTY to emphatically refuse to allow their states to be coerced into following unconstitutional laws. It is their duty, not the courts and certainly not the third branch of the central government that created these unconstitutional laws. They must declare these acts, here not laws, null, void and of no effect in their state.

It is as simple as that. It must start locally at the closest level of government as possible. That is still representative government. Those representatives that may know your name and street.

The founders were well aware of the dangers of a growing, tyrannical, oversized government and the centralization of power. They gave us the means to stop it and the best way to do it comes from the constituent parties that created it, the states.

It’s called Nullification and you need to start locally to get those elected who still believe that the constitution is the rule of law, who have those qualities required to represent you.

Honor, Virtue, Honesty and Integrity!

An Association

Say your neighborhood formed an association and you joined it with the association having the delegated power to negotiate snow plowing and trash pick up.
The person elected set a house in a neighboring association on fire and declared that no persons from that association could travel through yours.
He also agreed to use his pal for snow plowing for 5 times the going rate.
Upset at these actions, which were never within the powers that you agreed to give the elected leader, you decide to leave.
The next morning, you find a note on your door stating that you have no right to break from the association and leave. All of a sudden gunshots ring out. Your neighbors are shooting at you. They hit your child and kill your wife and then the set fire to your garage.
You cry out that you give up and that you’ll come back to the association. They stop shooting but patrol your yard armed to the teeth.
You are told that you must apply to be admitted to the association and that there will be certain penalties that will apply only to you.
You ask, why do I have to apply for admittance when you killed my wife and child because I had no right to leave?
Any questions Johnny Reb? Ridiculous ain’t it?
I didn’t even tell you about the marble statue built with your money in honor of that association leader.

The Surrender of The Republic

It does not take a degree in constitutional law or a far reaching interpretation of the founders intent to reach the conclusion that the central government has no f’ing authority to coerce you into a health insurance plan or to mandate that you must change the plan you currently have.

Yet the greedy, uninformed, partisan, entitled citizenry are happy to follow the media change the argument to be about a web site that was not ready.

The central government will now control an ADDITIONAL 6% of the economy, collect records of all your phone calls and emails and store them in a multi billion dollar facility in Utah, track your whereabouts by mandated black boxes in your car, hold the power to access you bank account through the IRS, decide whether or not to arrest you under the NDAA and detain you indefinitely and they’re getting ready to grant amnesty to millions of people who are in this country illegally.

Will you explain to your children how this happened while you cheerfully pulled your party lever?

Well, here we go again. Our Peace President is ready to bomb Syria in submission. They have crossed a red line that he told them not to, but recanted and said that the world drew the red line. So he wants to send a couple hundred Tomahawk TLAMs in there at $1.5 million each to do just what? We don’t know. Even as he makes his case to congress, he does not know. To punish Assad for using chemical weapons on his people, I guess. He must be punished, or is it a shot across the bow?

Think back to Libya. The unconstitutional intervention at that time was to take out their Air Force, artillery and provide air support for the civilian rebels that were getting slaughtered. It was definitely not for regime change. But then we bombed every palace, house, tent and tree that we thought Ghaddafi was possibly hiding in. We all remember the gripping scene as they dragged him from that culvert, beating and kicking him before blowing his head off. Humanitarian missions don’t all end good you know.

Well, lets get back to the red line. Two days before this chemical attack, UN Weapons Inspectors arrived in Syria. They were there to investigate a previous chemical attack in March. The Russians and the UN say that the evidence points to the rebels being behind that attack.
Hold the phone! I thought John Kerry said that there were no questions. This is certainly enough for me to hold off a missile attack on a sovereign nation. Russia has provided the United States with other intelligence that points to the rebels. In the spirit of the reset, we have discarded that intelligence at the same time, refusing to share any of our intelligence with the Russian government. That’s right, as the Russians and Chinese send warships of their own to the area, we refuse to share intelligence that could erase the red line.

Another thing you keep hearing is that the Peace President did not need to go to congress and that he still does not need their approval. Well, he’s right they don’t have to approve; but they Do have to vote and grant that authority! That is the constitution.

Article I
8.11 To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water;

Article II
2.1 The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States; he may require the opinion, in writing, of the principal officer in each of the executive departments, upon any subject relating to the duties of their respective offices, and he shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.

The framers were all to aware of the bad things that happen when one man is granted sole power to take a nation to war. There was never any intent to grant that power. Congress declares a war and then the Commander in Chief assumes command for executing that war. Very simple.

George Washington said, “The constitution vests the power of declaring war in Congress; therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they shall have deliberated upon the subject and authorized such a measure.” (1793.)

James Madison had this to add, “The power to declare war, including the power of judging the causes of war, is fully and exclusively vested in the legislature . . . the executive has no right, in any case, to decide the question, whether there is or is not cause for declaring war.” (1793.)

They were extremely clear as it was discussed in the ratification debates and Madison attempted to relax the people in his writing of the Federalist Papers.

There is nothing in the Syria conflict that effects any part of our national security or our national interests. We have not been attacked or even threatened. This comes down to a manhood contest between Assad and our Narcissist in Chief. He can not be questioned or be seen to be weak or wrong. It is a terrible thing to use chemical weapons on people just as it is to lop off their heads with machetes. But I digress.

Our Peace President keeps telling us of the atrocities of dead civilians, women and children killed and laying under their burial shrouds. They weren’t combatants, they weren’t fighting. They were killed and the Assad regime needs to be held responsible.

Allow me to close with this question. Who will hold our Peace President responsible for the women, children and non-combatants killed by the multitudes of drone strikes he has ordered in countries we are not at war with, nor have we declared hostilities against like Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia?

Are those women and children any less dead? Their fathers, mothers, siblings any less sad or enraged? Is the killing of civilians in a sovereign nation not against these world norms?

Any military action in Syria will be a blatant act of aggression by our country upon a sovereign nation embroiled in its own civil war. The ordering of such will qualify as High Crimes and misdemeanors and our Peace President should be impeached.

Living in the Land of The Free

Your medical records are online. Your bank accounts are online and can be accessed through Obamacare. Your mortgages are eventually through Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. Student loans are all through the central government. Your phone calls, Internet traffic and emails are all collected and on their way to a beautiful new storage facility in Utah. Next year, all cars must be equipped with black boxes. You must submit to being scanned or felt up to fly. Some knucklehead in Florida proposed a national concealed carry permit which will lead to a national registry and if you let them grant it, then you cannot complain when the central government takes it away (see incorporation doctrine). The proposed immigration reform suggests a national I’d card.

Yes, you’re free. Keep telling yourself that.

Chris Christie hits the news shows to set the record straight and warn them of Rand Paul and this dangerous brand of Libertarianism. Give me a break! Allow me to vent please……

It’s not a strain of Libertarianism you fat statist bastard.

It is called conservatism, which seeks to conserve something; like the rights the founders sought to protect with the first ten amendments. A list of amendments that were put forth as a precondition for some states to agree to ratify the constitution and become part of a union.

You see Bluto, some founders, like George Mason, Patrick Henry, Richard Henry Lee and others who were commonly referred to as anti-federalists knew that the Constitution was not enough. They knew that people like you would usurp our liberty in the name of safety for example.

They could see that people like you would seek to spy on the citizenry, frisk them, demand to search their belongings or homes because you felt it was necessary to protect them. They saw the danger of a central government forcing the entire citizenry to participate in a national program like health care.

No, you are the danger to the Republican Party. For you are not a [r]epublican. It is people like you, Marco and Jeb who will run and split the party right down the middle. You and people of your jacobin ilk will cause the small [r] republicans to have their party split down the middle and sent once and for all the way of the Whig Party. It is y’all who will hand the country to an incompetent woman named Hillary and end the republic.

For the simple fact that you sir, seek to conserve nothing.
